Tekno RC is excited to announce the release of the new EB48 2.2, a 1/8th scale electric-powered race buggy designed for the ultimate in performance and durability. After over two years of extensive testing and development on tracks across the United States and Europe, the EB48 2.2 has arrived as the eighth iteration of the EB48 series, which first debuted in 2012. Our team of designers utilized feedback from professional drivers and loyal customers to enhance this version, resulting in a vehicle that has already proven its ability by winning the ROAR 2023 1/8th Scale Electric Off-Road Nationals.
 
The EB48 2.2 builds on the success of the NB48 2.2, bringing improvements in performance, predictability, and durability to the electric racing scene. Many of the enhancements featured in the EB48 2.2 were first introduced in the NB48 2.2 nitro buggy, released just a month ago. Key upgrades include advanced engineering and high-quality components designed to provide an edge over the competition and ensure a reliable racing experience, race after race.
 
Among the standout features of the EB48 2.2 are the new flex-tuned Split Design 7075 CNC Machined Shock Towers, which enhance vehicle consistency on medium to low grip tracks. The 93.5mm Rear Universal Driveshafts contribute to improved stability and support, while the Precision Molded Shock Pistons and Guides reduce internal shock friction, resulting in better bump handling. The Reduced Ackermann Spindle Plates are designed to improve steering predictability mid-corner, and the Adjustable Sway Bar Deadband Bushings help bump handling by allowing suspension movement prior to stabilization.
 
Further enhancements include revised -2mm Front/Rear Bulkheads that lower the differential height and work in tandem with the Revised -2mm LRC Spindles and -2mm LRC/HRC Rear Hubs to boost traction, enhance bump handling, and improve driving consistency. The EB48 2.2 also features upgraded Shock Standoffs with M4 screws for enhanced crash durability, longer Inner Hinge Pin Sleeves, and new front Outer Hinge Pin Sleeves to minimize friction and extend the lifespan of suspension arms. Our team spent many days at the track refining the box setup which we believe delivers the fastest, most agile, and most durable 1/8th buggy Tekno RC has ever engineered.
